The student conducted 480 hours of farm practice at kahariam Realty and Farms. The organic farming was undertaken in Barangay Calamias, Lipa City, Batangas from November 12, 2012, to February 12, 2013. The trainee aimed to develop their skills and acquire knowledge in managing organic vegetables, vermiculture, organic ranging chicken, and organic rice production. The trainee was given an opportunity to apply his knowledge that learned in the classroom about some activities in the farm. With their actual experienced the trainee must leaned a lot and enhanced their skills in managing some activities especially in organic farming. During the training, the student performed the following in such different activities. In organic vegetables such as, sowing of seeds, land preparation transplanting/replanting, watering, application of organic fertilizer, weeding, insect and pest control and harvesting. In vermiculture production the activities were bedding, watering transferring of worms, harvesting, bagging, and marketing. In organic ranging chicken such as feeding, egg collecting, sorting, and weighing, egg hatching with the used of incubator, and care and management of chicks.
