Gomez This study explored the dynamics of communication support to the Maisagana Program, particularly in Region XI, It tried to find out the communication structure, processes, resources, and their consequences on the performance of the implementing agency, It also determined the factors affecting job satisfaction and job performance of extension personnel and the clientele's perception of the Maisagana Program, Respondents came from the national, regional, provincial and municipal levels, From the central office, key informants from the information subsystems of the MA and the NFAC were interviewed, In Region XI, 11 information personnel, 52 production technicians and 159 corn farmers served as respondents, Data were gathered through personal interviews, questionnaires and from existing documents/records pertinent to the study, The study revealed that the information system of the MA is one of the most extensive information systems in the government, However, the communication support structure of the Ministry seemed to be lacking in integration as evidenced by the presence of various communication units/divisions within the system, This situation indicates the seeming lack of unified leadership within the information subsystems: of-the Ministry. Although efforts are being done to coordinate communication plans and activities, the weakness of the existing communication structure within the Ministry inevitably resulted in the duplication and dissipation of communication resources and under-utilization or over-utilization of some resources, This study found that, in general, information and extension personnel in Region XI are satisfied with their job. However, when specific aspects of satisfaction/dissatisfaction Farmers! perception of the Maisagana Program was favorable, Six out of 12 variables tested were significantly correlated with corn farmers! perception of the program, Four variables were found significant predictors of perception, These variables accounted for 26 per cent of the variation in farmers' perception,
