MOLINA, ROSS CRYSTAL. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 1999. "TECHNICA AND ECONOMIC EVALUATION OF A PLASTIC ANAEROBIC FERMENTOR". Adviser: Jaime Q. Dilidili.
The technical and economic evaluation of a 6.8 cu. m plastic anaerobic fermentor was conducted at Molina's residence in Bancod, Indang, Cavite from December 1998 to March 1999. Specifically, the study aimed to assess the technical performance of the fermentor, in terms of gas output and effluent quality. The result of the study revealed that the pH of the effluent passed the standard set by the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (DENR). The temperature, total suspended solid, chemical oxygen demand (COD) and biological oxygen demand (BOD) of the effluent did not pass the standards set by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for the effluent disposed to Class C in land water. The volume of gas produced was 6.36 cu. m during the 45-days retention period. The volume of gas produced was 0.14 cubic meters per day, which were approximately 2.18 percent of the total volume of the digester per day.
