The study was conducted in selected municipalities and cities of Cavite, namely Dasmarinas, Bacoor, Imus, General Trias, Silang, and Tanza from January to March 2017. Specifically, the study aimed to (1) describe the socio-economic characteristics of a household; (2) determine the well-being of the children in accordance with the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children based on the provision of survival rights, development rights, and participation rights; (3) determine the proportion of household income that is allotted to the different well-being indicators of children ;and (4) ascertain whether there is a significant relationship between household income and the percentage of household income allotted to different well-being indicators of children. The primary and secondary data were obtained from the answers of the 300 household specifically, head of the household or members who have general knowledge about their current household status and from the Philippine Statistics Authority and from the Philippine Institute for Developments Studies and from National Statistical Coordination Board and from the related literatures from interne articles, journals, and books. The data were also presented using frequency count, percentages, distribution tables, and figures. The Chi-square Test was used in order to identify whether there are relationship between household income and the percentage of household income being allotted to the different well-being indicators of children. In terms of survival rights, the Chi-Square results show that there was significant relationship between household income and proportion allotted to survival rights in basic health and services and quality environment for the children. On the other hand, there is no significant relationship between household income and proportion allotted to development rights. Meanwhile, the results show that there is no significant relationship between household income and proportion allotted to participation rights in terms of civic engagement of the children. Further, the household income and proportion allotted to the overall well-being indicators such as survival rights, development rights, and participation rights, the level of household income is not significantly related to the overall indicators of well-being of children. The level of income did not have relationship on the percentage of income allotted by households in the attainment of the provision of survival rights, development rights and participation rights.
