Abstract: DARILAY, SHELLAMIE PERIGRIN and MOJICA, KAYE CEE ANCOG. Contribution of Enterprises to the Income of Municipality of Indang, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Financial Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: Marlon A. Mojica. The study was conducted in the Municipality of Indang, Cavite at Business Permit and Licensing Office from December 2017 to March 2018. The study aimed to: determine the historical behavior of registered enterprises in the municipality of Indang, Cavite for the period 2008-2017; determine the historical behavior of local business taxes and fees in the municipality of Indang, Cavite for the period 2008-2017; identify the annual contribution of the different business to the total income collected in the municipality of Indang, Cavite for the period 2008-2017; determine if there is a significant relationship between the number of enterprises and the total income of the Municipality of Indang, Cavite; determine if there is a significant relationship between the total collection from registered businesses and the total income of the Municipality of Indang, Cavite; and describe the problems encountered by the Municipality Business Permits and Licensing Office in business registration and local tax collection. Both primary and secondary data were used in this study. Primary data were gathered through interviewing the selected employees of the Municipality of Indang, Cavite especially to the Treasury Office, Planning and Development Office and also in Business Permit and Licensing Office. Secondary data such as the number of registered business establishments and the income were secured from the records of Business Permit and Licensing Office in the Municipality of Indang, Cavite. Business types were categorized as: manufacturing, retailer, contractors, financial institutions, foods stall and restaurants, agri-business enterprises, and other business that includes: amusement place/recreational facility, dealers, operators/owners of private cemetery and lessor or sublessor of real estate within the Municipality of Indang, Cavite from 2008-2017. Also, these were categorized into as food and non-food sector. The highest number of registered business establishments was 2,035 in 2016 and the lowest number was 1,271 in 2008. The highest annual growth rate in terms of number registered business establishments was 22.27 in year 2009 and the lowest annual growth rate was -6.99 percent in 2012. The highest revenue collection received from registered business establishments was P16, 976,997.41 in year of 2017 while the lowest was P5,368,581.55 in 2008, the average collection in the past ten years was PI 0,407, 720.33. The highest average percentage contribution in terms of number by business type was 47.46 percent of other businesses and the lowest percentage contribution was Financial Institution composed of 1.24 percent only. Other businesses had largest percentage contribution in terms of number with an average of 851 registered business establishments and in terms of collection with an average of P4, 407,741.60.The result of the regression analysis indicates that the total income of the municipality was significantly related to the number of registered business establishments and also to the total collection from business to the total income of Municipality of Indang, Cavite. The major problem associated with tax collection in the municipality of Indang, Cavite involved delinquency among tax payers.
