Abstract: JIMENEZ, ALJUN A. and VICEDO, JOSHUA RAFAEL M. "Pinoy Alamat: Development of 2D Android Based Mobile Interactive Storybook" Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang,Cavite. June, 2018. Adviser: Ms. Vanessa G. Coronado. The study, Pinoy Alamat: Development of 2D Android Based Mobile Interactive Storybook mainly aims to help teachers educating Filipino folklores to their students and improved their reading and listening skills. ADDIE model was used in development of the study. The methodology used in proposed system is one of the most common models used in the instructional design field a guide to producing an effective design. This methodology was composed of five phases namely: analysis phase, design, development, implementation and evaluation. For the actual development of the system, the developers used laptop with the following specifications of Processor: Intel® CoreTM i5-3317U CPU @ 1.70GHz, Graphics: Intel® HD Graphics 3000, RAM: 4.00 GB and System Type: 64-bit operating system. The following software were used in developing Pinoy Alamat: 2D Android Based Mobile Interactive Storybook: Adobe Illustrator for character and for background design, Adobe Animate for development platform, animation and ActionScript 3.0 as scripting language. Furthermore, this study passed unit and integration testing and system evaluation. The ISO 9126 evaluation form was used, assessing the system in terms of its functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, portability and user — friendliness. Based on the result of the conducted evaluation and testing, the system was evaluated as excellent in all identified criteria.
