The list of these industries were obtained from the Provincial Planning and Development Office in the Provincial Capitol of Cavite located at Trece Martirez City. The significant number of industries was located in Rosario with 217 or 39 percent. Most of the industries were engaged in electronics and electrical equipment parts and telecommunication with 138 or 15.1 percent.. There were 286 establishments engaged in small-scale industries, 124 in medium-scale and 141 in the large scale industries. About 216 or 39.2 percent of total industries were owned by Filipinos, 129 or 23.4 percent by Japanese, and other industries were owned by other foreign nationals. The total number of employees working in the industries in Cavite was 117,131. Out of this total, 48 percent or 56,214 employees were working in Rosario. In Alfonso, there were only four industries established in 1997 with a total investment of P 146 M. These were stood in a 115 hectares or 1.78 percent of its total land area., In Carmona, the total land area covered by the industries in 1997 has increased from 35 to 398 hectares or 13.17 percent of the total land area. of Carmona. Rosario was considered the most industrialized municipality in Cavite. The Cavite Export Processing Zone, (CEPZ) located in Rosario, is the only export processing zone in the country where the local government unit and the provincial government actively participates. Due to the CALABARZON projects, the employment from industry was continuously increasing. From 1980 to 1997, the employment generated by industrial firms in Cavite has been growing from 5,642 workers to 107,782 workers. The income from industries was approximately 30 percent in relation to the total provincial income of Cavite. The Full Model Regression analysis was used in fitting the models of the determinants of industrialization in Cavite. All indices of industrialization exhibited positive relationship with the total employment generated by industries in Cavite and land area covered by industries was found to be not significantly related to the volume of employment in Cavite. Only land area covered by industries (A) exhibited negative relationship with the income of Cavite. Moreover, the number of firms (F) and amount of investment (I) were found to be significant (P< 0.05).
