The study was conducted from March 2017 to April 2018 at Cavite State University Main Campus to enhance the management information system of the Faculty Association (FA) in Cavite State University. Specifically, it aimed to: create a standard template in generating reports; establish a centralized and reliable source of information. Enhance the system using PHP and MySQL in relation to the finances of the association; create communication for members of the faculty; enhance the database for members; and test & evaluate using unit testing.
The proponents used the Feature Driven Development Methodology for their methodology. It consists of process workflows namely: developing an overall model phase, building a features list phase, plan by feature phase and designing by feature phase, and lastly building by feature phase.
The system is comprised of five modules: account management module, faculty record module, report module, communication module, and fund allocation module. It was evaluated using the questionnaire anchored on the ISO 9126. The respondents were composed of instructors and students, who were determined using simple random sampling technique,
Based on the result of the evaluation, the system was rated excellent in terms of its reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, functionality and portability. In order to further improve the study, the proponents recommend the following: include all the monetary activities to monitor all the members, generation of financial statement; and integration of system to cashier office.
