Abstract: DINGLASAN, REIYZELYN B., LEONSANDA, ANGELICA NICOLE D. and TABLNGO, TRISHA MAE N. Analysis of Non-Bank Financial Institutions Stock Market Performance. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: Ms. Jenny Beb F_ Ebo. In this study, attempt has been made to investigate the effect of certain factors in stock market performance of non-bank financial institutions for the period 2008-2017. Early secondary data has been used for all the variables. It included internal factors such as selected profitability ratios such as net profit margin, return on asset and return on equity; external factors such as inflation rate, exchange rate and interest rate; and economic indicators such as of GDP, employment rate, unemployment rate and consumer price index as the independent variables while percentage change in stock market price used as dependent variable. Quarterly data were gathered from reliable sites namely trading economics, Philippine Stock Exchange, Investagrarns, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Morningstar and SEC 1-view that used in the study. This study used descriptive-causal approach under quantitative design. To find out the impact of certain factors, analysis was done through panel regression with Radom Effect Model. The figures showed that fluctuation of stock price was caused by movements in internal and external factors as well as economic indicators. Statistically, the results showed that profitability ratios, economic indicators have no significant effect to stock market performance. On the other hand, only inflation rate and exchange rate in external factors has the inverse relationship with stock market performance.
