The study was conducted from May 2017 to May 2018 at Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite to develop software that will solve the problems of the students and employees in searching a boarding house specifically within the vicinity of Cavite State 'University
In order to know the problems of the students and employees, the researchers conducted interviews and surveys and formulate the objectives that will remedy those problems. Interviews were also conducted to boarding house owners and staff of business permits and licensure office (BPLO) at Indang Municipal Hall to gather important data about their business.
The researchers used software prototyping as their methodology for the development of the system. It has seven phases namely requirements gathering, design, prototyping, evaluation, review and update, test and final implementation.
The software evaluation used the following criteria: functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, portability and user-friendliness. Students and employees, boarding house owners and IT experts from Cavite State University are the evaluators of the system. The system passed all the requirements for the evaluation and had met all the needed requirements for the system.
