Abstract: HUERTA, PRINCESS JESSA PASCUAL and VILLA, LAIREN JOYCE GUEVARRA Development of Management Information System of Barangay Balagbag Mahabang Kahoy Lejos, Indang, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2018. Adviser: Prof. Mark Philip M. Sy. The system entitled "Barangay Management Information System for Barangay Balagbag Mahabang Kahoy Lejos, Indang Cavite" was developed to the convenience of the Barangay Officials and also the residents of the barangay to reduce the long-time process of retrieving the files and eliminate the redundancy. The system enabled the barangay to maintain their residents' records as complete and up to date as possible. The Iterative methodology was used in the development of the system. It is composed of five phases which includes Planning and Requirements, Analysis and Design, Implementation, Testing, and Evaluation. The barangay management information system was developed using PHP as programming language, MySQL as database, Sublime, Adobe Photoshop for enhancing the images, backgrounds and buttons and Microsoft Word for the documentation purposes. Several testing of software for evaluation was done by using the indicators of one to five wherein five represents excellent, four as very good, three as good, two as fair and one as poor. The system was evaluated by the Barangay Officials of Barangay Balagbag composed of one barangay captain, secretary, health worker, treasurer and seven barangay councilors and IT experts to verify the functionality of the program. As per the result of the software evaluation, massive number of participants rated the system as outstanding. With this result, the requirements for the system were achieved.
