Abstract: AMPER, DANIELA MAE M. and FIGUEROA, CATHERINE JOYCE J. Development of Sports and Equipment Inventory System for the College of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2018. Adviser: Ms. Aiza E. Bihis. The study, Development of Sports Equipment Inventory System for the College of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation was conducted from January 2017 to April 2018 at Cavite State University — Indang, Cavite. The concept of this study is to help the faculty and staff of the College of Sports Physical Education and Recreation in having a secured inventory system, monitor the daily borrowed and returned equipment, and generate the reports that were needed by the college. This system is designed to improve efficiency in data gathering and ease of accessibility in acquiring needed information about the inventory supplies of the college, as well as its borrowers and returners. The study aimed to identify the problems through conducting an interview, analyze the formulated problems using the Fishbone Diagram, create Account Management Module, Inventory Management Module, Item Availability Module, Transaction Module, and Reports Module, and test and evaluate the system using ISO 9126. Adobe Photoshop CS6 was used for the design of the system, Net beans IDE 8.0.2 as the system's platform, and MySQL Workbench for the database. Iterative Design Methodology was the methodology used by the researchers. It includes six (6) phases: Planning and Requirements Phase, Analysis and Design, Implementation, Testing, Evaluation, and Deployment. The system was evaluated by ten (10) IT experts from Cavite State University—Department of Information Technology, he dean, the dean's aide, the property custodian, and seventeen (17) instructors of the College of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation using the following criteria: functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, portability, and user-friendliness. The mean and the standard deviation were used as the statistical procedure to analyze the data gathered from software evaluation. Based on the results, the system was rated excellent which proved that the requirements and objectives were achieved. In line with the results, the system can be a solution to the identified problems. The following are the recommendations to be applied for further improvement of the system: Provide a module in which the students or instructors can interact with the system, separate computer unit for administrative purpose and transactions for borrow and return through LAN based connection with joint database, make the borrow and return transaction available online.
