Abstract: Constante, Julius S. and Constante, Vaneza S. "The Effects of Sports Participation on the Attitude of Former Varity Athletes of Cavite State University S.Y. 2015-2016". Undergraduate Thesis Submitted to the Faculty of the College of Sport, Physical Education and Recreation Cavite State University Indang, Cavite. May 2018. Adviser: Ms. Mary Ann R. Cardines. The study was conducted to determine the effects of sports participation on the attitude of former varsity athlete in Cavite State University, S.Y 2015-2016. Specifically, the study described the profile of the participants in terms of age, gender, types of sports, number of years being an athlete and its relationship between the effects of sports participation. This study generally aimed to determine the effect of sports participation on daily life of former student athletes. Specifically, it aimed to determine the demographic characteristics of former students in terms of age, gender, number of years being an athlete, and types of sports; identify the effects of sports participation to former athletes of Cavite State University; and determine if there is a significant relationship between the effects of sports participation on daily life of former Cavite State University athletes when grouped according to their demographic characteristics. Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn: 1) there is a significant relationship with physical, social and emotional aspect in sport participation. These results satisfy the conditions of the null hypothesis. This implies that the age is a basis to determine the effects in sports participation in the field alike; 2) there is no sufficient evidence to say that there is a significant relationship exists between the aspects in sports participation of the respondents and gender. This implies that no matter A%-hat are the views and gender of the respondents it doesn't affect their sport participation in daily life; 3) the three stated aspects of sports participation of the respondents, physical, social and emotional have significant relationship with the number of years of being an athlete. This implies that the effects of sports participation on daily life are predictors in the number of years being an athlete; and 4) there is a significant relationship between the effects of sports participation and types of sports in selected areas of Cavite who was former students of Cavite State University. The null hypothesis of no significant relationship between the effects of sports participation of the respondents and the types of sports as rejected as findings revealed all the p-value are less 0.05 ( p < 0.05 ). Based on the conclusions, the following are recommended: 1) for those who are interested in enhancing this study, the proponents highly recommend to focus their study to some variables; 2) further studies on the other factors which could have possible effects on the sports participation on daily life; and 3) Further research on how sports participation affects their lives using the highly efficient aspects in terms of spiritual, and multi-dimensional aspects.
