The study "Post-Harvest Life of Lanzones Fruit As Affected by Different Storage Materials" was conducted in the Vocational Agriculture Department of the Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite from October to November 1987
This was conducted to find out the effect of different storage materials on the Post-Harvest Life of Lanzones, to determine the factor that hasten deterioration and to find out which storage material is best in keeping the Post-Harvest life of Lanzonese
Complete randomized design (CRD) was used in this experiment with four treatments, and three replications. The treatments were as follow: (moist sawdust); (Sealed polyethylene bags); (fresh banana leaves); and (control) 0
The result in the number of days from storage to 50% deterioration and in the number of days from storage to 1 deterioration, show that T 1 (moist sawdust) gave the best result, this was followed by (fresh banana leaves) and r112 (sealed polyethylene bags) and lastly T 4 (control) 0.
In the total loss of weight, the result shows that (Moist sawdust) gave the lowest mean loss of weight of lanzones fruits compared to the other treatments.
