Abstract: REYNA-LYN B. ALAGUENA. Order of Behavioral Information on Impression Formation of High School Students of Cavite State University Rosario —Campus SY 2005 2006. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April, 2006. Adviser: Mrs. Imelda R. Filart The study entitled "Order of Behavioral Information on Impression Formation of the school students of Cavite State University Rosario — Campus SY 2005 — 2006" were conducted in Cavite State University Rosario — Campus from November to January 2006. This aims to 1) determine the profile of the high school students in Cavite State University Rosario Campus SY 2005 -2006, 2) determine the differences in impression formation when the students group according to 2.1) age 2.2) gender 2.3) year level, 3) determine if primacy effect affects the impression formation of high school students, 4) determine if recency effect affects the impression formation of high school students and 5) determine whether the primacy effect has greater impact than recency effect in the formation of impression of the students. The researcher used the total population of the high school students from first to fourth year students. There were 120 respondents, 51 male and 69 female respondents. For data gathering, the instruments were checked; hands scored and analyzed using frequency count, percentage, McNemar Test, and F test. These studies revealed that males and females have the same impression formation and there is no difference in impression formation when the students were group according to age but there is a significant difference between the impression formations when they were grouped according to year level. In positive order of behavioral information group the recency and primacy effect has an equal influence in forming the impression of high school students while in negative order of behavioral information group primacy effect has greater influence in forming the impression of high school students than recency effect. The computed value using Mc Nemar test statistic was 6,881 which was greater than the theoretical value 3.84 at .05 level of significance thus primacy effect had a significant effect on the students in forming impression. It appears from the results of this study that the ordering of behavioral information influences the impression of the students. The students relied most on the first information they read when assessing the behavior of "Luis" than information they received later.
