May 2017. Adviser: Ms. Jenny Beb F. Ebo This study was conducted to examine the utilization of water resources in the Philippines in a regional basis. First, it aims to examine the existing water sources of the Philippines, and determine the supply pattern and consumption pattern of water in the twelve regions of the Philippines for five years period. The study also determine the relationship between the determinants of water supply and demand and regional economic growth and it formulatea regional water utilization model to serve as basis for policy formulation. The main purpose of this study is to provide a possible growth model that might help the government to prevent the country from water scarcity. The study used the descriptive-causal approach and all the data were gathered from the statistical reports of national organizations namely: National Economic and Development Authority National Water Resources Board and Department of Environment and Natural Resources. These data were carefully checked and analyzed using panel data. Through this study, the researcher was able to determine the water sources in the country which is groundwater and surface water, the supply and consumption pattern of the twelve water resources region. It is also found out that there is a significant relationship between the determinants of water supply and demand to the regional growth and based on these results the study came up with a regional growth model.
