Melo The entrepreneurial development project which lasted for three months was conducted from January 12 to April 9, 2018. The project generally aimed to formulate and implement appropriate strategies in marketing Amiga's Gourmet Tinapa in Oil products; determine the profitability and marketability of Amiga's Gourmet Tinapa in Oil products; identify the problems encountered in managing the business; and develop feasible solutions to address the problems. The business named Amiga's Gourmet Tinapa in Oil was operated by three entrepreneurs who shared equal amount of capital and responsibilities to manage the business. Procurement of raw materials, production, marketing, and financial aspects were performed by the business partners. These activities let the students became more responsible in managing the business on their own. Also through this project, the students' gained knowledge could be applied more effectively in their future endeavors. The business offered variety of tinapa in oil products such as Lemon Garlic Tinapa Flakes in Corn/Olive oil, Spanish Style Tinapa Flakes with Rosemary herbs-in Corn/Olive oil, and Spanish Style Tinapa Flakes with Thyme herbs-in Corn/Olive oil available in original and spicy flavor. Products were offered at an economical price. Amiga's Gourmet Tinapa in Oil products were offered through distribution and personal selling. Also, online marketing through its Facebook page was used to reach target customers. Resellers from Pasay City, Manila; Novaliches, Quezon City; Calamba, Laguna; and some areas in Cavite such as Trece Martires City, Tanza, and Dasmaritias City were contracted by the entrepreneurs. Amiga's Gourmet Tinapa in Oil also joined trade fairs held in Cavite State University-Indang, Cavite and SM Bacoor Event Center. And on the last month of operation, the entrepreneurs created a "Trip to Baguio for Two" promo to boost sales by encouraging and attracting customers to buy Amiga's Gourmet Tinapa in Oil products. In the three months of operation, Amiga's Gourmet Tinapa in Oil had generated a total sales of P103, 190.00 and earned a net profit of P21,080.66. Some problems were encountered such as distant source of raw materials, long production time, rejects during production, and customer complaints regarding the taste of the product. The entrepreneurs have eventually solved these problems.
