To assess the level of knowledge of the selected pregnant mothers before and after the exposure to health education. The study will utilize quasi-experimental research design to answer the research problem. The study focuses on the manipulation of the independent variable which is the interactive health education about antenatal care with the distinction of a control group, to reveal its effect to the patients' level of knowledge and adherence to antepartum care. The study will focus on pregnant mothers ages 15 — 35 years old living in Indang, Cavite. Also, pregnant mother should be a first time mothers in their first trimester of pregnancy. The study will look into their practice and their adherence to pre-natal visits based on their received check-ups, immunization, health education, and medications. In measuring these data, Descriptive Statistics Analysis will use to describe the main characteristics and features of the collected data i.e. frequency, percentage, and mean (William M.K. Trochim, 2006). Mostly interviewed participants are ages 15 to 25 were not married. 40 percent of the participants are High School Undergraduate and 85 percent of them are unemployed. In terms of their financial aid, 72.50 percent of them are under the responsibility of their husband or boyfriend. Since the participants are primigravida who is in their first trimester of pregnancy, most of them were not immunized with Tetanus Toxoid. During the first interview of the researchers with the participants, some of them were having their first prenatal check-up in the Barangay Health Center also. There is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test in the level of knowledge of the selected pregnant mothers to the exposure to health education before and after the study was conducted. It shows that the exposure to health education is significant. The researchers would like to recommend this study to future researchers and scholars to be used as a reference in studies concerning health education, especially for the improvement in time and duration needed to efficiently and effectively render health education services needed to influence a healthy lifestyle change in pregnant women, especially the priori-gravida.
