Abstract: DELA REA, JAYSON D. Backyard Hog Fattening in Cavite State University, Indang Cavite: An Entrepreneurial Development Project. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship major in Animal Production.Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. January 2019. Adviser Dr. Irvin dL. Matel. This project was conducted in Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite from June 5, 2018 to September 21, 2018. The project aimed to. apply the knowledge and skills in hog raising, acquire the decision-making skills in hog raising and determine the profitability of a hog fattening enterprise. The swine production used four piglets with an average weight of 19.5 kg. The hogs were fed 3 times a day up to the 24th day and twice a day in the remaining rearing period. After the 98 days of rearing the hogs, an average weight of 90.63 kg was attained. The average feed consumption of the hogs was 168.75 kg, with an average gain in weight of 725.82 g and a feed conversion efficiency of 2.37 The hogs were marketed at P 160.00 per kg on dressed weight basis. The total production cost was P41,330.30 with gross sales of P45,312.00 and a net income of P3,981.7 and a return on investment of 9.6 %
