Abstract: MAHUMOT, PATRICIA MAE J. Backyard hog fattening production in Brgy. Habiro, Mendez, Cavite: An entrepreneurial development project. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship major in Animal Production. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2019. Adviser: Dr. Cristina F. Olo. This backyard hog fattening project aimed for the student - entrepreneur to gain knowledge and experience, acquire entrepreneurial skills, and earn profit. The project was conducted from December 20, 2018 and ended in April 7, 2019. The project started with four fattening weanlings with an average weight of 15.75 kg. The animals were fed four sacks of starter hog pellet and twelve sacks of grower hog pellet with a total of 800 kg and an average of 200 kg per hog of feeds. After 108 days of the feeding the hogs attained a final weight of 85.25 kg and feed conversion efficiency of 2.87. The total production cost was P39, 010.00 with a total sales of P41.080.00 from the four fattened hogs sold at P120.00 per kg on a live weight basis. The student entrepreneur earned P1, 670.00 and with a return of investment of 4.23 percent.
