The backyard hog fattening enterprise was a sole proprietorship owned by Jan Marius Rivera. He was responsible in all the production management, financial aspects, and up to marketing. This project was conducted at Brgy, Kaytambog, Indang, Cavite (Figure 1) from December 27, 2018 to April 12,2019, it involved rearing of 4 hogs of 17.63 kgs. These were purchased from Brgy. Lumampong, Halayhay, Alfonso, Cavite
After 92 days of rearing, the hogs attained an average final weight of 94.40 kg with gain in weight of 76.60 kg ADG of 832 g and FCE of 2.41. The student entrepreneur sold the four hogs in Indang public market in dress weight basis at P 160 kg. The student entrepreneur gained P 3,087.00 net income with the capital of P 43,153.00 with the return on investment of 7.15%.
