Abstract: MENDOZA, JEAH MAE E. Demographic Profile, Self-Esteem and Social Behavior of Sorority Members of Tau Gamma Sigma in Trece Martires City, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University. March 2013. Thesis Adviser: Mr. Renato T. Agdalpen. The study sought to determine the demographic profile, self-esteem and social behavior of sorority members of Tau Gamma Sigma in Trece Martires City, Cavite. Using total enumeration, 100 participants were involved in this study. Rosenberg Self-Esteem scale was used to measure the level of self-esteem of sorority members, and Social Behavior questionnaire was used to measure the level of social behavior of the participants. Frequency, mean, standard deviation, and percentage were the formula used to determine the demographic profile, level of self-esteem and level of social behavior. Chi-square and Spearman Rank Order Correlation were used to determine the significant relationship between variables such as demographic profile and level of self-esteem and demographic profile and level of social behavior. Additionally, Spearman Rank Order Correlation was used in determining the relationship between level of self-esteem, and level of social behavior of the participants. It was found out that majority of the Tau Gamma Sigma in Trece Martires City, Cavite were Catholic under ages nineteen to twenty one. They belong to broken family. They were college students. Further, results revealed that sorority members have high level of self-esteem and very high level of social behavior. Correlations between demographic profile and self-esteem found out that age and religion were correlated with level of self-esteem; and family status and educational attainment of the participants are not correlated with the level of self-esteem. Moreover, correlations between demographic profile and social behavior revealed that age and family status are not correlated with level of social behavior; and religion and educational attainment are correlated with level of social behavior. The results also found out that self-esteem and social behavior of participants are significantly related to each other.
