Abstract: LANDICHO, ALJOHN F. Backyard Hog Raising in Alulod, Indang, Cavite: An Entrepreneurial Development Project. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship Major in Animal Production. Cavite State University, Indang,Cavite. Adviser: Irvin Matel, DVM, MSc. The entrepreneurial development project was conducted in Barangav Alulod, Indang, Cavite from December 1, 2019 to March 11, 2019. This project enabled the student to enhance the skills and gain additonal knowledge in hog raising enterprise, deal with the common problems that affects the management of hogs, and assess the different swine raising factors to have a profitable of enterprise. The five hogs with an average initial weight of 21 kg attained an average final weight of 93.5 kg with an average total gain in weight of 72.5 kg. The average daily gain (ADG) was 833.33g. Each hog consumed 200 kg of feeds and obtained an average feed conversion efficiency (FCE) 2.76. The project lasted for 87 days, The total production cost was P54 ,148.50. The gross sales was P54, 937.50 resulting to a net profit of P789.00. The project had a return on investment (ROl) of 1.46%. The entrepreneurial project enhanced the student's skills and knowledge in hog raising, engage with the problems that affects the management of hogs and assessed the different swine raising factors to have a profitable of enterprise. The student entrepreneur plans to continue this project for the reason that the student is now ready and more experienced to some factors that an entrepreneur can encounter in this type of enterprise.
