Abstract: CAMIA, GERRICK B. Chinese Celery Production: An Entrepreneurial Development Project. Entrepreneurial Development Project, Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship Major in Crop Production. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, April 2019 Adviser: Dr.Analita dM. Magsino. The project was conducted at the Cavite State University - Main Campus, Indang, Cavite under the College of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Natural Resource - Crop Production area. The Entrepreneurial Development Project was conducted to accomplish actual application of management and agribusiness principles in producing the Chinese Celery. Specifically, it aimed to: (1) enhance the student entrepreneur's knowledge and skills in handling and caring of Chinese Celery from pre-production to post harvest; (2) gain income on the sale of Chinese Celery plants; (3) determine the profitability of Chinese Celery production; (4) identify the problems in managing Chinese Celery production; (5) acquire skills in the promotion and marketing of Chinese Celery. The project was laid out in 10 plots and planted with Chinese Celery. The project was operated as a sole proprietorship type of business. Production activities include cleaning of area, plot preparation, sowing of seeds, mulching, watering, removal of rice straw, application of fertilizer, thinning and transplanting, weeding, harvesting, post-harvest handling, packaging and marketing. The production area was plowed using Carabao. Sowing of seeds was made directly to the plots. Watering was done every day using automatic sprinkler to insure the optimum amount of soil moisture. 60 kilograms of Chinese Celery was procured at price of Php100.00 per kilogram to Indang Public Market. On the other hand, 225 kilograms of Chinese celery plants were bought at price of Php20.00 and Php30.00 per kilogram at Kadiwa Public Market. The operation cost for the entire three months period of Chinese celery production: An entrepreneurial development project was Php 9,218.75 with the net income of Php1, 881.25 and the Return Of Investment 20.41%.
