Abstract: GEMENIANO, DEXTER RYAN R., Backyard Swine Production In Guyam Malaki, Indang, Cavite: Entrepreneurial Development Project. Entrepreneurial Development Project Report. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship Major in Animal Production. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Adviser Mr. Efraim P. Panganiban. Backyard swine production was conducted at Guyam Malaki, Indang, Cavite from December 12, 2018 to March 22, 2019. The project aimed to acquire additional skills in swine production in terms of actual operation and management of a swine production project and to determine the profitability of raising swine. The swine production project used four piglets that were purchased from 540 Farm. The average weight of the piglet was 16 kg. The feeds were bought from Caffmaco. For the first month the stocks consumed 200 kg of hog starter which amounted to P 5,620.00. They also consumed 600 kg of hog grower which amounted P 15,762.00. After 100 days of rearing, the stocks obtained an average live weight of 85.63 kg, with an average daily gain of 696 grams per day. The hogs consumed 200 kg of feeds per head, giving a feed conversion ratio of 2.87. A total of P 38, 962.00 was used for buying stock, feeds, medicine and other inputs used in the operation. The business gave a net income of P 2217.50 giving a return on investment (ROI) of 5.69 percent.
