Rodis This study was conducted at the Physical Science Department, CvSU, Indang, Cavite from January to February 2001, to develop a scheme on how to classify the Municipalities in Cavite into some groups. The classification was based on some variables namely: populations, income, number of establishments and land area of the municipalities. The municipalities were classified in a way that they were homogeneous with respect to the given variables. Using Hierarchical Cluster Analysis, three clusters were obtained. The municipalities under each cluster were found to be highly similar. The municipalities under Cluster 1 were: Alfonso, Amadeo, Gen. E. Aguinaldo, Gen. Trias, Indang, Imus, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez, Naic, Silang, Tanza and Ternate. Under Cluster 2 were: Bacoor, Cavite City, Dasmarinas, Kawit, Noveleta, Rosario and Gen. M. Alvarez. Under Cluster 3 were: Carmona, Tagaytay City and Trece Martires City.
