A 480-hour field study was conducted at United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB), Pasong Tamo Ext., Makati City. The study aimed to apply gained knowledge in Business Management to practical and useful experiences in the real employment situations. Specifically, it aimed to expose and learn the various activities in the bank; to describe the bank in terms of organization, management, and marketing operation; to identify the problem encountered by the bank; and to determine the bank's future plans. Gathering of data was done through the bank's records, interviews with the bank personnel and actual participation in bank's activities to increase the volume of data gathered. Personal observations provided more insights in studying the bank's operations. UCPB is a leading provider of financial products and services to corporation, middle market companies, small and medium size businesses of individuals in the Philippines. It offers deposits and cash management service, trust and fund management service, treasury and money market, investment service, corporate banking system. Pertinent information about the bank's organization and management, management policies and practices, incentives given to each employee, services offered, marketing and financial operations of the bank and familiarization of different activities concerning training itself were gathered during the observation period.
