Online resources: Abstract: The project was conducted at barrio Cabuco, Trece Martires City from August 1984 to January 1985. A 5,000 square meter field was plowed and harrowed two times with no definite interval while another 5,000 Square meter field was prepared for peanut production. This was plowed and harrowed twice with an interval of two weeks to loosen and pulverize the soil thoroughly. Cuttings of sweet potato were planted in a slanting position in each hill 50 centimeters apart. Five days after planting, new leaves were observed to have developed. For peanut, two to three seeds were dropped on a hill at a distance of ten to fifteen centimeters apart. Germination took place five days after planting. Tubers of sweet potato were harvested 126 days after planting. On the other hand, peanut pods were harvested seventy four days after planting. Return of fifteen sacks of sweet potato which were sold at P110.00 per sack gave a total gross income of P1,650.00. The actual input was P1,207.00 and the project gave a net income of P443.00. For peanut, a total yield of 30 cans was obtained and these were sold at P65.00 per can with a total gross income of P1,950.00. With the total expenses of P1,380.00, a net income of P570.00 was realized.
