The project, "Continuous Production of Mongo and Peanut Through Successive Planting", was conducted at Barangay Kaytambog Indang, Cavite from August 1984 to February, 1985 in the field of Mr. Rosendo Vicedo (farmer— cooperator)
The establishment of the project aimed to develop a give—and—take relationship between the farm practitioner and the farmer—cooperator about the technique and ideas in growing mongo and peanut.
An area of about 5, 000 square meters was utilized for the growing of mongo during the first cycle 0 Planting was done in the month of August and harvesting took place last October 1984. A total of forty-three gantas of mongo was harvested and marketed at P35.OO per gantas A gross income of PI, 705.00 was obtained and after deducting all the expenses, a total net income of P 960.00 was obtained
The same area was utilized during the second cycle in which case, peanut was the crop planted 0 The yield obtained from the 50 000 square meter—field was seventy-five gantas which were sold at P40000 per gantas, giving a gross income of P 3,000.00 and a net income of PI,338.00
