Abstract: This farm practice training "Application of Ordinary Superphosphate Fertilizer (0-18-0) on Peanut," was conducted at Limbon, Indang, Cavite from October 1985 to January 1986. It aimed to develop the student's Skills in farm management and to apply the theoretical knowledge in raising peanut with superphosphate as fertilizer. A 5,000 square meter field was fertilized immediately after the final harrowing using one bag of ordinary superphosphate (0-18-0). Planting was done on October 16, 1985, soon after the final harrowing at a distance of around 25 centimeters apart in each row. Germination of seeds took place five to seven days after planting. Hilling-up was employed three weeks after planting to kill the weeds and to loosen the soil. Pest and disease infestation were observed to be within tolerable limits. The flowering of the plants was first noticed twenty seven days after planting and harvesting of crops was done 105 days after. Freshly harvested pods were sold to local buyer at P65.00 per can. The total production input amounted to P1, 730.00. This turned over a harvest of 43 cans of unshelled peanuts which were sold at P65, 00 per can, thus giving a gross income of P2,795.00, A net income of around P1,065.00 was realized after subtracting the inputs of production from the gross income.
