Abstract: An income generating system was established using high yielding varieties of corn, from November 1986 to February 1987 at Barangay Limbon to determine the profitability of using BPI - 2 variety of corn. It also aimed to enable the students to integrate theoretical knowledge in actual farming. An area of around 5,000 square meters was used in the conducting project. The farmer cooperator provided the material inputs, while the student outreach agent gave the technical aspect of production. At the end of the study, the farmer cooperator to harvest 6,000 marketable ears and were P0.50 per ear giving him a gross income of P3,000.00.
