This farm Practice was conducted at Cabuco, Trece, Martirez City from August to December 1986 to help increase the production of mango using high yielding variety.
An area of 10,000 area square meter field tenanted by Melicio Ferraer was used in this project.
After thorough lend preparation, application of complete fertilizer (14-14-14) by broadcast method was employed. Planting was done on the 3rd week of August, after broadcasting the complete fertilizer (14-14-14) at the rate of 200 kg. per hectare. Occasional weeding vas done to kill the weeds as they grow in the plantation. Careful observation was done throughout the growing period to detect the presence of pests and diseases. Harvesting dry pods was done 85 days after planting.
A total of 90 gantas of mongo were harvested. A net income of P1 ,1,810.00 was realized after deducting the total operational expenses of P2,690.00 from the total gross income of P 4,500.00•
