Corn production under Cabuco condition in Trece Martires City was assessed using the introduced IPB Variety 1 of corn known as "Ginintuan". A one hectare area was used and was prepared using the methods of land preparation recommended for the crop. Weeding and pest control was done. The crops were fertilized using complete fertilizer (14-14-14) and urea following the recommended rate and practice. Complete seed germination was observed six days after sowing. Vigorous plant growth was observed during the early and middle stage of plant growth. Pest occurrence like white grubs and rat attack was observed but these were controlled during the fruiting stage of the crop. The ears matured and were harvested about 105 days after planting. A yield of 1.51 tons per hectare was obtained. Marketable ears were sold at the local market at 1/54.05 per kilo. A cost and return analysis was made and a net income of is 2,525.50 was realized.
