The project on "Production of Early August Planted Mungbean" was conducted at Cabuco, Trece Marti-res City from August to December 1987. It aimed to enable the student to put into practice the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to the actual field condition when the mung bean was planted in the early part of August. A one hectare field was planted with mung bean seeds after it was plowed and harrowed three times. Complete fertilizer was applied basally at the rate of 100 kilograms per hectare shortly before planting. Weeding was done by hand pulling whenever weeds appeared in the plantation. Harvesting was done when mungo pods changed in color from green to brown or black. A total of two hundred (200) kilograms of mungo seeds were harvested and marketed at twenty-two pesos (22.00) per kilogram. The gross income obtained was four thousand four hundred pesos (400.00). It gave a net income of one thousand three hundred sixty pesos (01060.00) after deducting from it the total expenses of three thousand forty pesos (03,040.00))
