Abstract: The farm practice was conducted in Cabuco, Trece Martires City, from June 1987 to October 1987 to acquaint and encourage the farmers on using high yielding I.P.B. Variety corn. A one hectare area was used using the land preparation methods recommended for the crop. Weeding and pest control was done. The crops were fertilized using complete fertilizer (14-14-14) and urea following complete fertilizer (14-14-14) and urea following the recommended rate and practice. Complete seed germination was observed six days after sowing. Vigorous plant growth was observed during the early and middle stage of plant growth. A pest like white grubs was observed but these were controlled during the fruiting stage of the crop. The ears were harvested about 105 days after planting. A total of 1.3 tons of corn was obtained. The project realized a net income of 01,535.00.
