Abstract: This farm practice was conducted at Agus-os, Indang, Cavite from August to October 1988 to introduce the Taiwan Green variety of mung bean growing in upland Cavite. This further aims to develop skills of Student Agent in actual farming and at the same time to transfer technology to the farmer cooperator. A land area of 2,500 square meter was used in this project tenanted by Eugenio Mojica. After the thorough land preparation, basal application of 12.5 kilograms of complete fertilizer (14-14-14) was done by broadcasting one half of the recommended amount. Planting was done by placing two to three seeds per hill following the distance of 50 centimeters between hill. One month after planting, second application of 12.5 kilograms of complete fertilizer (14-14-14) was done by side dressing. Occasional weeding was performed to minimize nutrients competition of the crops and the weeds. Dry pods were harvested 60 days after emergence. This was done by hand picking of the dry pods. A total of 120 kilograms of mung bean was cumulated. A net income of 16983.00 from the total gross income of 12,160.00 was realized.
