Abstract: The farm practice was conducted at the DSAC Piggery project from October 5, 1981 to February 15, 1982. This aimed to have an income generating project and to help students get the feel of a project he/she has been assigned to. This project proposal was prepared to be able secure loan from the DSAC-AEOP. The amount of P5,000.00 was loaned for a period of four months and ten days with an interest of 4% per annum. The money was used in buying stock and other supplies such as feeds, disinfectant, dewormer, and other veterinary drugs. The said project was personally managed by the author and the four senior high school students. We took charge of the routinary activities during Saturdays and Sundays and during vacant hours. Technical assistance from the college veterinarian was availed of as the need arises. The profit obtained was very low. The supplementary feeds given to did not help at all. This maybe due to the poor breed of hogs chosen.
