A Farm Practice was conducted at the Piggery Project of Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite, October 13, 1982 to March 6, 1982.
The program was designed to help the students practice what has been theoretically learned inside the classroom and to be aware of the techniques and possible problem in pork production.
The money used in the practicum was loaned from the DSAC-Agricultural Education Outreach Project (AEOP), There were eight supervised farming students and two student out-reach agents who managed the farm practice.
The fattening hogs were raised in central hog house with elevated flooring.
At the end of the farm practice hogs were marketed on wholesale basis. It netted an income of P589.90.
The major problem encountered during the whole period of practice vras lack of coordination among members where irregularity of feeding resulted.
