Abstract: This farm practice was conducted at Don Severino Agricultural College Piggery Project from October 21 to February 15, 1982. This aimed to determine the problems en-countered in swine production in DSAC. A project, supported by AEOP, was put up. Results of this study may serve as a guide for DSAC pilot barrios and for those who are interested to engage in swine raising as a business. The amount of P4,900.00 was the initial investment used by the student to finance five heads of fattening hogs. At the start of the operation, the number of initial stock was 5 heads per group of students. The different breeds raised were Landrace and Hypor. These breeds came from a well established piggery project. The farm practice student, instead of mixing his own feeds, bought the feeds available for his stocks. The animals were given the feeds three times a day using a hand feeding method. The total expenses during the operation was P409b.90 and the total net income was P691.60.
