A Farm Practice was conducted in Cabuco, Trece Martires City, Cavite from September, 1981 to January, 1982 to find out the cost and return of peanut production. An amount of P485 was loaned from the DSAC Agricultural Education Outreach Project. This was used in buying seeds and fertilizers. The farmer-cooperator was provided with 15 gantas of peanut seeds costing P375 and 14 bags of commercial fertilizer which cost P110. The total amount was P485. Out of the 15 gantas of peanut planted, fifty cans of unshelled peanut were harvested from the field, 17 cans of which were sold dry at P30 per can amounting to P510 and 30 cans were sold fresh at P25 per can amounting to P825. The total return of the project was P1,335. After subtracting the total expenses and cost of labor during harvesting, the project gave a total net income of P725 which can be considered satisfactory.
