This Farm Practice was conducted at Buna Lejos, Indang, Cavite from November, 1981 to March, 1982 by put-ting an income generating project, "Peanut Production". This project was taken to develop skills in our field of specialization, to help farmers solve problems on how to utilize small area for acquiring better income, to apply modern technologies to actual field test and to learn how to deal with other people. A farmer cooperator was selected prior to the selection of project. The area devoted to this project was plowed and harrowed twice before planting was done. Complete fertilizer (14-14-14) was broadcasted evenly before the second harrowing at the rate of 400 kilograms per hectare. Eight gantas of shelled peanut seeds was consumed in the 5,000 square meter lot having an average of two to three seeds planted in each hill with a distance of 25 centimeters apart in rows covered with fine soil. Weeding was done two weeks after weed emergence. Plants started to flower at exactly 30 days from the time of germination. Harvesting was done 120 days after planting. A total of 45 gantas of shelled peanut seeds were harvested and were sold at Indang Public Market at P25.00 per ganta. A total of P 1,125.00 was obtained. After the deduction of total expenses (P 550, 00) from the gross income (P1,125.00) a net labor income of P570.00 was obtained.
