A farm practice training was conducted in Cabuco, Trace Martirez City from October, 1982 to February, 1983 to gain necessary skills on peanut production and to establish an income generating project to finance college expenses. An amount of p449.00 was loaned from the WAG—AEU with an inter eat of P10.00 for four (4) months. This was used in buying seeds and fertilizer. The farmer—cooperator was provided with 15 gantas of peanut seeds costing p-375.00 and one bag of complete fertilizer costing P124.00. The total capital was P449.00. Out of 15 gantas of peanut seeds planted, 26 cans (unshelled) were harvested from the field. They were sold fresh at P 30, 00 per can amounting. P 780.00 After subtracting the total expenses and the interest in loan, the project gave a total net income of P 271.00.
