College of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Natural Resources (CAFENR)
The farm practice was conducted at the backyard piggery project of the Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite from October 7, 1982 to January 26, 1983 to become familiar with how to manage a project like swine raising. The hogs were reared in a shed type pen for 111 days which consumed feeds of about an average of 23904375 kilograms which when converted to average gain in weight amounted to 71.Q5 kilograms thus giving an efficiency of 3.37 kilograms. A total of 2172.20 net profits was derived from the four feeder hogs. The profit was low, as compared to others, but the farm practice, on the other hand, contributed to the experience and technical know- how of the student.
