Abstract: This farm practice was conducted at the author's backyard in Guyam, Indang, Cavite form August 15, 1982 to January 20, 1983 for the purpose of: acquiring the technical skills in proper feeding and management concerning swine production, knowing the existing problems and their possible solutions, and determining the cost and return analysis of the project. A total of five newly-weaned piglets (Landrace x Hyphor) was used. The 45 day old piglets with the total initial weight of 55 kilograms and has an average of 11 kilograms were housed in a clean and disinfected pen. Wet feeding was practice during the entire period. The stocks were fed three times a day on the first month and twice a day on the succeeding months. Strict hygiene and sanitation such as cleaning the pen and bathing the animals was followed. Fresh and clean drinking water was regularly provided. Feces were brought to distant compost pit. Monthly weighing was made to determine the increase in weight of the animals and sold in a wholesale basis. After 5 months, the animals gained a total weight of 347 kilograms, with an average of 80.4 kilograms. Each growing hog consumed an average of 238.5 kilograms of feeds. These animals showed a feed efficiency of 3.44.
