Abstract: The project was conducted at the backyard piggery project of Professor Florencio P. de las Alas of the Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite from September 30, 1982 to January 15, 1983, to gain practical skills in hog raising through actual exposure to farm operation. During the entire period of the project, hogs consumed a total of 1,010 kilograms, exhibited a feed efficiency of 3.6 which resulted in a total weight of 342 kilograms. The total expenses of the project was P3,900.53 and the total sales of four hogs at P12.30 per kilogram liveweight amounted to P4,206.60, giving a net return of P334.57.
