Abstract: This self—financed project was conducted at the student's residence in Alfonso, Cavite from November 10, 1990 to March 9, 1991. This aimed to determine the profitability of feedlot cattle fattening and acquire skills in such project. The feeder stock was purchased with an initial weight of 120.3 kg. It gained a total of 59.5 kg resulting to a total final weight of 179.8 kg. The cattle consumed a total of 234 kgs of concentrate feeds. Roughages was given ad libitum. At the end of the project, the fattened cattle with a total operating expenses of V6,589 was marketed to a local butcher at a live weight basis. It gave a total gross income of 08,270.00. Thus net return of P 1,681.00 was realized.
