Online resources: Abstract: A farm practice was conducted at the student's residence in Plaridel, Lipa City, Batangas from September 1991 to February 1992 to test the student's entrepreneurial skills, to determine the profitability of fattening cattle and to apply the agribusiness theories and principles in an actual feedlot fattening project. One head of fattening cattle with 9315 kg initial body weight was used in the project. During the feeding period, the animal was forced-fed with concentrate ration every afternoon. Roughage was given twice a day for six months. The animal gained 103.6 kg to attain a final body weight of 418.6 kg. The cattle consumed a total of 5,699 kg roughage and a total of 488 kg concentrate, attaining an average daily gain in weight of 0.57? kg. The project incurred a_ total expenditure of P20,600.82 and gave a net income of P 166.38.

A farm practice was conducted at the student's residence in Plaridel, Lipa City, Batangas from September 1991 to February 1992 to test the student's entrepreneurial skills, to determine the profitability of fattening cattle and to apply the agribusiness theories and principles in an actual feedlot fattening project.
