Abstract: The farm practice project was conducted in the swine Agribusiness Project of the College, DSAC, Indang, Cavite from May 6 to September student's managerial and 3, 1992 to harness and enhance the manipulative skills in operating a backyard hog fattening project. Ten piglets with an initial body weight of 120 kg or an average of 12 kg were used in the project. After 120 days of feeding, the hogs consumed a total of 1,600 kg of feeds and had a total body weight of 720 kg and gain a total weight of 600 kg. Feed efficiency was computed which had an average of 2.67 kg. Hogs were sold at prevailing market price of P60.00/kg on a liveweight basis. obtained. After P26,013.72 a net income. A total gross income of P43,344.00 deducting the total expenses of T7,330.28 was realized. The return on investment of the project was 66.62%.
