This farm practice project entitled "Production of High Yielding Mungbean Variety (Taiwan Yellow) Using Furrow System of Planting" was conducted at Bancod, Indang, Cavite from August to November 1994. The projet aimed to demonstrate the profitability of using high yielding variety of mungbean using furrow system of planting, and to generate information on the actual cost and return analysis on mungbean production using a high yielding variety and the furrow system of planting. Mungbean was planted in the prepared furrows at a distance of 50 cm between rows and 20 cm between hills with three seeds per hill. After 70 days mungbean was harvested. Based on the outcome of the project, mungbean gave a total yield of 125 kilos at P40.00 per kilo. The project realized a gross sale of P5,000.00. After deducting the overall expenses of P2,866.75, the project realized a net profit of P2,133.25 from the 2,000 sq-m land. The return on investment was 74.41 percent.
