Abstract: A project was conducted at Labrador's Poultry Farm, Lumampong Halayhay, Indang, Cavite from January 26, 1996 to March 5,1996. A total of 1,000 straight-run commercial day-old broiler chicks was used in this project for the student to learn the different management practices affecting profitability and to develop his managerial skills in broiler production. After the operation, the birds weighed 1,566.78 kg or an average of 1.7086 kg. The birds consumed a total of 3,450 kgs. of feeds, with an average feed conversion feed efficiency of 2.09 kg/kg. A mortality of 3.7% was recorded during the conduct of the project and 4.6 percent was recorded as runts. The birds were sold at P45.00/kg liveweight which amounted to P70,875.37. A net income of P8,420.16 was realized with a Return on Investment of 13.48 percent.
